The WSF World Junior Championships took place in Melbourne, Australia. With the individual championships from 18-23 July and the World Junior Girls Teams Event from 24-29 July.
Congratulations to Sophie Hodges (Hamilton) and Connor Hill (Te Awamutu), who were selected in the NZ Junior Worlds Team and also to Emma Millar for being selected as lead coach for the NZ Junior Girls Team. For Sophie & Connor this was their last World Junior Championships and it was great to see their families and supporters head over to Aussie to support them.
They both represented themselves, Waikato & NZ in great sportsmanship and gave it their all. Well done Sophie, Connor and Emma! I'm sure you all gained great experience from your overseas venture and have taken a lot away from it.
