The Squash Waikato Board has agreed to a return to competitive Squash mid June, with the following dates
Mens and Womens Interclub starting June 16th /17th
Tournaments starting weekend 19th / 20th June
This is depending on the NZ Government / Sport NZ
Play, active recreation and sport at Alert Level 2 restrictrictions that All indoor and outdoor facilities will need to restrict entry to a maximum of 10 people per group, being reviewed on the 25th May and the maximum number being increased.
Squash Waikato is confidant that the number will be increased, and with good hygiene practises, contact tracing and the appropriate social distancing we can once again get back to competitive Squash in our region
We will be reaching out to clubs, club and interclub team captains this week to finalise further details

Squash Waikato Ambassador 

Squash Waikato is pleased to announce Joelle King as the Squash Waikato Ambassador 

(actually we are more than pleased, we are absolutely stoked :))

Squash player Joelle King is one of New Zealand's most decorated Commonwealth Games athletes having won an impressive six medals.

Gold Coast 2018 was King's most successful games. She won gold in the women's singles, gold in the women's doubles (alongside Amanda Landers-Murphy) and bronze in the mixed doubles (alongside Paul Coll).

King has competed at two other editions of the Commonwealth Games claiming a bronze in the singles event at Glasgow 2014. At Delhi 2010 she won silver in  the mixed doubles and gold in the women's doubles.

King is of Ngati Porou descent and was born and raised in Cambridge
